Strategy and identity

Starting with strategy-focused workshops, we distilled the business’s vision and mission to build the brand platform upon.

The key requirements for the identity were:

  • Approachable, practical, and overall human look and feel;
  • Distinctly different from more corporate players;
  • More playful/accessible than competitors.

The brand identity shows a balanced mix of trendiness with an overall clean and minimalistic look. Professional and modern with a technology-infused feel to it, yet approachable and human.

Website and platform

To show off the business and establish its presence, an information-focused website was built, one where potential clients can schedule an intake call if they are interested in Spooker’s services.

A website about consulting services tends to feel corporate really quickly, which was one of the things that needed to be avoided. By using more playful elements like 3-D imagery and icons, the overall feel of the brand remains approachable.

We are currently in the process of designing and developing a dashboard where clients can regularly order assessments like phishing simulations to keep their protection levels up to par.

Reflection and feedback

Overall, Spooker’s new brand identity works really well. The name fits both the requirements for being playful and young, as well as the sense of providing awareness by showing how easily things could go wrong. Visually, I think that the brand could move more to almost a startup-like feel, especially now that the business is moving away from a strictly consulting business model.

That being said, feedback has been great since the very first strategy workshop and I’m excited to keep working with this client so that we can continue to work on the brand. In all honesty, one thing I hadn’t expected to see was Spooker’s affinity to strategic foundations. Glad I was mistaken.
